Solano County Veterans can access Veterans Affairs and Medical facilities within Solano County and several locations in Contra Costa by participating in STA’s Medical Trip Concierge (GoGo) Service or the Solano County Intercity Taxi Card (ITX) Program.
• Both programs are 60% subsidized (80% if Low Income qualified)
• No age restrictions
• No ADA eligibility requirements
• Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles available*
*Participation in the ITX program required for wheelchair accessible rides and access to Travis AFB Outpatient Clinic.

Suisun City Local Taxi Program
The Suisun City Local Taxi Program is administered through Solano Mobility, which is a program of the Solano Transportation Authority. The Local Taxi Program is available to all residents of Suisun City who are 60 years of age or older, or residents who are ADA paratransit qualified. Program participants may ride the taxi both within the City of Suisun and between Suisun and Fairfield. You must show proof of eligibility each time you ride the taxi under this program.
This program utilizes the PEX card, which is a pre-paid debit card, for cab fare. Taxi trips taken under this program must be paid for with the participant’s assigned PEX card. Cash is not accepted for taxi trips taken under this program. To obtain a PEX card, please fill out the application below.
Once a participant has received PEX card, funds may be purchased in increments of $10 for $25 in taxi funds. Taxi scrip is not to be used for tipping the drivers. Low Income options are also available. Taxi trips are available for curb-to-curb service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Solano Mobility Local Taxi Card Program (Vallejo/Benicia)
The Solano Transportation Authority (STA) in partnership with Solano County Transit (SolTrans) provides the Solano Mobility Local Taxi Card Program. The program offers alternative transportation for ADA Paratransit certified individuals living in Vallejo or Benicia.
Complete application and include your ADA Paratransit ID number, then email it to info@Solanomobility.org or mail it to the address below. Include your PG&E CARE FERA eligibility or Low-Income Verification form if you would like to request low-income eligibility.

Who is eligible to buy and use Local Taxi Card funds?
ADA Paratransit certified residents of Vallejo or Benicia may apply. You may use the Taxi Card Program as long as you remain certified for ADA Paratransit and live in Benicia or Vallejo. Should you move to another city or your certification expire, you will not be eligible to use the program.

The PEX card is a prepaid debit card that you use like a credit card. You must show your ADA Paratransit ID card to taxi drivers when paying your fare with the PEX Taxi Card. Taxi drivers are required to ask passengers to show their ADA ID card to ensure only qualified participants are using taxi card funds.
Where can I travel?
You can take trips that begin and end in the cities of Vallejo and Benicia.
How much does it cost and how much can I buy?
Funds may be purchased in increments of $10 for $25 of taxi funds, to a maximum of $150 of taxi funds per month. For low-income verified individuals, the increments are $10 for $50 of taxi funds to a maximum of $150 per month. To request low-income eligibility, include your PG&E CARE or FERA program eligibility or a completed Low-Income Verification form with your application.
Adding Funds to your PEX Taxi Card.
Once you’ve received your PEX Taxi Card, you may add funds over the phone with a debit or credit card by calling Solano Mobility at (800) 535-6883 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., or from SolTrans’ Ticket Office located at the Vallejo Transit Center:

While the funds on your PEX Taxi Card do not expire, if your ADA eligibility expires, you will not be able to access those funds until you renew your eligibility.

Want to ride the bus, but don’t know how? Our travel training program provides free training so that you can learn to safely and confidently use public fixed route transit within Solano County. Our friendly travel trainers will meet with you and customize trainings that fit your needs and, they will go with you every step of the way.

Vehicle Share Program
Thanks to funding from the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, the Solano Transportation Authority purchased two wheelchair accessible vans for the Vehicle Share Program. This program would allow the vehicles to be shared amongst multiple non-profits organizations that provide services for older adults and people with disabilities in Solano County. Solano County Intercity Taxi Card Program
The Solano County Intercity Taxi ( ITX) Card program can be used by Qualified ADA (Americans with Disability Act) certified individuals to pay for taxi fare. Also, any Solano County Veteran (ambulatory and non-ambulatory) can use the program to get to Solano County Medical Facilities, Travis AFB, the Martinez VA clinic, the Hume Center and Med Evals/QTR Assessment Center in Concord.
The ITX is issued on a pre-paid PEX debit card. You can use this card like a credit card to pay for taxi rides between transit service areas, but not in your local city (except Benicia, Vallejo, and Suisun City). Eligible members may purchase $100 of taxi card funds for $40 or $20 for low-income certified individuals. To apply for eligibility for the low income discount, please fill out the form below.
The ITX cards may be loaded in person or over the phone. It is recommended you schedule 48 hours in advance to ensure your ride.
Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available for individuals that are non-ambulatory. You must schedule ride 24 hours advance.
ITX card purchases are non-refundable. Limitations apply to the amount of fare you may purchase in any given month and vary from city to city. Program details vary. For more information click here.

Paratransit
Paratransit is a shared ride, origin to destination, advance reservation transportation service for people with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. Paratransit service is available within your community, throughout Solano County and nationwide as well as between the cities of Solano County.
